James City County Police are asking for the public's help finding a 34-year-old Williamsburg woman wanted on three separate arrest warrants, including felony warrants tied to embezzlement and stolen lottery tickets. Jazmyn Johnson's last known address was listed as 193 Merrimac Trail, Apt. 11, in Williamsburg, and police have told residents not to approach her if she is spotted.
According to WAVY.com, James City County police confirmed Johnson is wanted on three arrest warrants: two felony warrants covering embezzlement and stolen lottery tickets combined, and one misdemeanor warrant connected to stolen lottery tickets.
What Police Are Telling Residents
Officers have asked anyone who sees Johnson not to try to apprehend her themselves. Instead, the department wants the public to call immediately with any information about her location, per the same WAVY.com report.
Police described Johnson as standing 5 feet 6 inches tall and weighing around 210 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes. Anyone with information is asked to contact the James City County Police Department at 757-253-1800.
A Familiar Pattern of Lottery Ticket Cases Locally
Allegations involving stolen lottery tickets have surfaced in James City County before. In March 2022, WAVY.com reported on a case in which a man was accused of stealing several lottery tickets from a gas station on Monticello Avenue, a case that also involved charges in other cities, according to the station's report.
A separate 2016 case reported by The Virginia Gazette described a 7-Eleven employee accused of stealing $820 worth of lottery tickets who was later charged with embezzlement, after police said surveillance footage showed him cashing the tickets. Under the Code of Virginia, anyone who steals or otherwise unlawfully converts a lottery ticket, prize, share, or portion of one to their own or another's use can be found guilty of larceny.
Police Also Sought Help Locating a Suspect Last Year
This is not the first time this year that James City County Police have turned to the public for help tracking down someone with outstanding warrants. In January 2025, the department asked for assistance locating a suspect in the area who had 20 outstanding warrants, the station's report noted at the time.
The circumstances behind Johnson's warrants, including the specific conduct alleged in each case, have not been detailed publicly. Police have not said whether she has been located or taken into custody, and anyone with information is urged to reach out to the department.
