Juveniles were cited after a fight at a park.

According to The Freeman, a fight occurred at a park.

A separate Waukesha police blotter entry covering the same date described a caller at Horeb Spring Park who said, “The caller said they just pepper sprayed some of them,” and reported that the male suspect had threatened to kill the caller and her friends. The blotter said a person was reported with a handgun, though it was later determined to be a facsimile weapon, and the same entry confirmed, “A facsimile gun was reportedly recovered and a person was taken into custody.”

How Police Tracked Down the Suspects

Juveniles were arrested in connection with the fight.

Charges were referred for possession of a dangerous weapon, battery and disorderly conduct, the report states.

A Pattern of Trouble at the Same Park

This is not the first time Horeb Springs Park has drawn police attention this year. Between Feb. 26 and Oct. 12, 2025, the Waukesha Police Department logged more than 40 calls at the park, including 11 specifically tied to juvenile incidents, the department has said. In response, police said they were stepping up monitoring of the park through increased patrols and active camera feeds.

Earlier incidents at the same location included an Oct. 9, 2025 fight involving middle school-aged children, where a caller estimated at least 15 juveniles were involved, and a Sept. 26, 2025 case in which two juveniles were arrested for disorderly conduct after an argument escalated, with one allegedly brandishing a pocketknife. A separate blotter item from late September 2025 described a report of juveniles harassing someone and pulling out a knife at Horeb Spring Park.

Police Warn of Facsimile Firearm Dangers

Joe Hendricks warned that facsimile firearms resembling real guns make it difficult for victims, witnesses and officers to distinguish them from actual weapons during fast-moving encounters. He encouraged parents to talk with their kids about the risks and serious consequences tied to carrying or displaying imitation firearms in public.
