Beer sales remain an addition Davis has applied for
Daniel Davis has applied for a Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission license to sell beer at the Keller DoubleDave’s Pizzaworks. As of Oct. 13, the city and county had approved the planned addition, Community Impact reported.
Texas law allows qualifying Mixed Beverage and Private Club permittees to sell alcohol with food orders for pickup or delivery, provided they meet requirements that include holding a Food and Beverage Certificate, according to the Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission. The agency also requires proper containers and labeling and bars transporting alcohol sold under this authority in a vehicle’s passenger area.
Davis told Community Impact that pizza delivered with a six-pack is a popular order at his San Angelo restaurant and that he hopes to offer the same combination in Keller. He has operated the San Angelo location for six years.
A change in ownership and store updates
John Alexandrides sold the Keller franchise to Davis in July 2026, after the two discussed a sale at a meeting of franchise owners, according to Community Impact. The restaurant at 800 South Main Street had been in business in Keller for 19 years. The Greater Keller Chamber of Commerce held a ribbon-cutting for the new ownership on Sept. 10, the date of the store’s grand reopening.
Updates since the sale include a menu board, a fountain beverage machine and a salad bar, along with new paint in the dining area, Community Impact reported.
Seasonal offerings and regular service
The Keller shop’s October special, the Bee’s Knees, has cupped and charred pepperoni, hot honey sausage, basil and Mike’s Hot Honey on hand-tossed crust. A Snickerdoodle dessert pizza is also available, according to Community Impact. The planned November special uses brown gravy instead of traditional pizza sauce, with turkey, stuffing, cheese and a cranberry sauce drizzle.
Community Impact reported that Davis was doubtful about the Thanksgiving-pizza idea at first, but found it worked well after tasting it. The restaurant also serves sandwiches, salads and its Peproni Rolls. Its buffet runs daily from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., with additional service Sunday and Wednesday from 5 to 8 p.m., the outlet reported.
