Kubota USA has filed plans for a new building at 1000 Kubota Drive in Grapevine, a $10 million project that would add a 28,825-square-foot training facility to the company's sprawling North Texas campus. The structure is expected to be completed in July 2028 and will feature administrative offices, catering rooms and training rooms.
The filing was detailed by the Fort Worth Report, which reported that Grapevine-based Kubota USA submitted plans for the new building at its Texas headquarters. According to the same report, the $10 million project will combine office space with catering and training rooms once finished. Community Impact Newspaper also covered the planned training facility at the company's Grapevine campus.
The 28,825-square-foot size of the planned training facility at the Kubota campus was also noted by Dock Line Magazine, which placed the project at the same 1000 Kubota Drive address. The matching figures across outlets point to a single, specific building plan rather than a broader campus expansion.
A Headquarters With Deep Texas Roots
Kubota's presence in Grapevine dates back more than a decade. The Office of the Texas Governor announced in May 2015 that Kubota Tractor and Credit Corporations would relocate their corporate headquarters from Torrance, California, to Grapevine, a move the state projected would create at least 344 jobs. Two years later, the company marked a major milestone when it unveiled its new North American headquarters building in Grapevine, an event that included Governor Greg Abbott and Kubota Group representatives, according to the City of Grapevine.
That ribbon-cutting cemented Grapevine's role as the company's anchor site in North America, and the new training facility now on the books would build on that foundation. The planned addition sits on the same campus where Kubota has continued to grow its footprint in the years since the headquarters opened.
What Comes Next for the Project
The City Council approved the facility at its Oct. 20 meeting, with the approval including 71 additional parking spaces and an electric-vehicle charging station. A Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation filing tied to the site lists an expected early-2027 construction start and summer-2028 completion.
What is documented is the scale of the investment: a $10 million building adding nearly 29,000 square feet of office, catering and training space to a campus that has anchored Kubota's North American operations in Grapevine since the company's headquarters opened there.
