Omaha is getting one more warm, mostly sunny Saturday before the weather turns more unsettled next week. Temperatures will climb from the low 60s early to around 78 degrees, giving outdoor plans a solid window before the next round of rain chances moves in.
Winds will run from the southwest at 5 to 12 mph, with gusts up to 17 mph, before shifting toward the northwest during the afternoon. Omaha should stay mostly dry Saturday, and the National Weather Service lists no watches or warnings for the area.
Cooler Temperatures Arrive Sunday
Saturday night will turn mostly cloudy with a low near 53 degrees and light north winds. Sunday will remain mild but slightly cooler, with partly sunny skies and a high near 75.
Rain Chances Build Monday Through Wednesday
The first meaningful rain chances for Omaha arrive Monday, when a slight chance of showers is expected after 7 a.m. The high should reach about 71 degrees, followed by another slight shower chance Tuesday with a high near 68.
By Tuesday night and Wednesday, showers and thunderstorms become more possible, though the forecast still calls for a chance rather than a washout. Wednesday could reach near 70 degrees before cooler air settles in, with highs in the upper 60s later in the week and additional shower chances returning Thursday and Friday.
