A local alert concerned a boy named Jayden.
According to a special bulletin posted by the Palmdale Sheriff’s Station, Pellegrin weighs 106 pounds. The bulletin describes him as white. He was last seen wearing a black sweatshirt; his pants were not known.
What the statewide figures can—and cannot—show
California Department of Justice reports offer scale, but not case-specific information. The DOJ’s 2024 county report records 12,651 missing-child reports for Los Angeles County. Its annual report records 63,126 such reports statewide in 2024. These are report totals, not necessarily counts of distinct children.
A separate DOJ status report lists 15,647 reports in the 2024 “LOCATED” category, defined as a missing child located by law enforcement. That statewide category is not a resolution rate, does not describe the same measure as the county report’s missing-report total, and provides no indication of the outcome in Pellegrin’s case.
How to share information
Anyone with information about Pellegrin’s whereabouts is asked to contact the Palmdale Station Detective Bureau, 750 East Avenue Q in Palmdale, and ask for Detective A. Gutierrez at (661) 272-2463. The bulletin lists case number FCN 2322630000325.
