Bowlers rolled into Rebman Recreation on Saturday for the first Professional Women's Bowling Association regional competition held in Lorain County. The one-day tournament paired eight games of qualifying with a stepladder finals round as professional women bowlers competed on the center's lanes.
The event capped a milestone year for the 48-lane center at 5300 Oberlin Ave., which celebrated its 80th anniversary, according to the Morning Journal. A schedule preview from snieronbowling.com described the one-day regional format as cutting the field to the top four bowlers for stepladder finals. The PWBA's own event page listed the 2026 Greater Cleveland Regional, with coverage planned for BowlTV and Bowling TV, per pwba.com.

Special Needs Pro-Am Programming
Rebman Recreation hosts both regular and senior PBA competitions, and its pro-am events connected to those men's tournaments have included opportunities for people with special needs to participate. In April 2026, the center ran the two-day Ohio Lottery/PBA “Bowl with the Pros” event, which paired a Special Needs Pro-Am with a standard Pro-Am, according to the Morning Journal's coverage of that tournament. That same Central Region PBA event drew 120 bowlers chasing a projected $2,000 first-place payout based on 96 entries, while a comparable PBA tournament listing on pba.com described a seven-game qualifying squad narrowing a 64-bowler field through bracket match play.
Part of a Growing Regional Circuit
The 2026 schedule on bowl.com included PWBA and PBA regional events. The PWBA's 10-event regional season for the year required female competitors to carry an average of at least 180 to enter, according to the snieronbowling.com schedule preview.
The Greater Cleveland Regional was part of the PWBA's 2026 regional schedule.
