Lucky AF is set to open Tuesday at 11:30 a.m. at 4701 Forest Hill Ave. in The Evelyn development. It will be EAT Restaurant Partners’ third Lucky AF in the Richmond area, joining its Scott’s Addition and Short Pump locations, according to Axios’s report on the opening.
A longer-than-expected project
The Forest Hill restaurant was announced roughly two years before its planned opening. EAT initially told Axios it expected the location to open in the second half of 2025; Richmond BizSense later reported the company was aiming for late 2025. Axios’s earlier report described the planned restaurant in a corner unit of a building then under construction, while Richmond BizSense reported that the space was expected to cover about 3,900 square feet in The Evelyn, a mixed-use development planned to include 40 apartments.
Menu and visit details
Axios reports that the menu includes classic sushi rolls and creations named for Batman, Wonder Woman and the Hulk, with those rolls priced from $6.50 to $22.30. Other listed dishes include filet mignon pho for $18.90, lobster dumplings for $15.50 and poke bowls starting at $15.90. The Boujie AF roll is priced at $22.30 and combines tempura lobster, filet mignon and four kinds of caviar, according to the outlet’s opening-day coverage.
The restaurant is open daily from 11:30 a.m., until 9 p.m. on weekdays and 10 p.m. on weekends, Axios reported. Its weekday happy hour runs from 2:30 to 6 p.m., with $5 house wine and liquor, $6 carafes of hot sake, $1 off beer and sushi rolls priced from $5 to $7.
