According to Click2Houston, Houston police responded to a report of a person lying on the ground at 218 E. 44th Street, just off North Main Street and near Crosstimbers, on Thursday. As reported by FOX 26 Houston, the shooting occurred on East 44th Street just before 2:30 p.m. The victim received first aid at the scene, was taken to a hospital and was pronounced dead there.
