Deputies Respond Near Broad Haven Drive
According to ABC13 Houston, the Harris County Sheriff's Office responded to the 11200 block of Veterans Memorial Drive after the shooting. FOX 26 Houston also reported on the shooting and hospitalization. ABC13 reported that the victim was taken to a hospital and is expected to be okay.
Authorities have not released the victim's identity. Officials also have not identified a possible suspect, according to FOX 26 Houston.
No Witnesses, No Clear Motive
The Harris County Sheriff's Office said there were no witnesses to the shooting, ABC13 Houston reported. Investigators are still working to determine what led up to the incident.
Earlier Incident on Same Corridor
Veterans Memorial Drive has seen law enforcement activity before: in an earlier case reported by ABC13, a Harris County Sheriff's Office deputy shot a man outside a Walgreens at 12097 Veterans Memorial, firing one shot that struck the man in the wrist and hip.
