A mattress company that lets couples set different firmness levels on their own side of the bed is opening a showroom in Plano. iSense plans to debut its new location at 8240 Preston Road, Suite 185, on October 30, giving North Texas shoppers a chance to test mattresses and adjustable bases in person before they buy.
The showroom sits inside Headquarters Village in Plano, according to a company news release cited by Community Impact. iSense says its DFW showrooms are built so customers can experience the mattresses firsthand and explore different comfort settings with help from a Comfort Control Specialist, according to myisense.com. The Plano address matches what the company lists on its own preopening page, though a search snippet from the retailer's site at one point listed an earlier October 23 opening date — a discrepancy that has not been resolved.
Comfort Settings for Two Different Sleepers
The centerpiece of iSense's pitch is a feature the company calls Comfort Control, which lets each sleeper independently adjust the firmness of their side of the mattress from softer to firmer, per the company's DFW preopening page. For couples who disagree on how soft or firm a bed should feel, the Plano store will let them test that customization directly rather than guess from a spec sheet. iSense mattresses can also be customized to suit an individual's preferences when a couple shares a bed, according to Community Impact's report on the opening.
Beyond the mattresses themselves, iSense also offers adjustable bases that let customers personalize sleep position, including head and foot elevation, per the company's site. The showroom experience is meant to pair those bases with the Comfort Control mattresses so shoppers can test combinations before committing. Every iSense mattress is designed and assembled in the company's U.S. factory, the store locator page notes, and purchases come with a 180-night comfort guarantee and a 10-year full warranty.
Second North Texas Store in Weeks
The Plano opening comes just weeks after iSense opened another North Texas location in Fort Worth in early October, giving the company its second showroom in the region, per the company's news release as reported by Community Impact. That Fort Worth showroom operates at 4811 Overton Ridge Boulevard, Suite 200, where customers can try iSense mattresses and different Comfort Control settings before deciding what feels right, according to the company's Fort Worth page. iSense also runs a showroom in Springfield, Missouri, at 1356 E Battlefield Street, Unit 3, per the Springfield location page.
The Plano location occupies a space formerly used by Reza's Rug N. More, according to Community Impact, whose Patricia Ortiz authored the report on the new store. iSense, which started in 2017, has been expanding its footprint well beyond brick-and-mortar stores. The company is also piloting a Dallas Mobile Showroom program that lets customers schedule mattress-testing appointments at home, work or another convenient location, the Dallas Business Journal reported. That mobile setup lets shoppers test the iSense Hybrid Premier and iSense Classic mattresses without visiting a store at all.
More Showrooms on the Way
Depending on how the pilot performs, the outlet reports that iSense plans to deploy four new mobile showrooms every quarter over the next five years. The company has also said it plans to open a second physical retail location in Dallas before the end of 2026, according to the same report. Combined with the new Plano and Fort Worth stores, that would give iSense four separate points of access across North Texas within a single year — a rapid buildout for a mattress brand that started less than a decade ago.
