Fog is affecting portions of the plains Friday, including Denver-area locations, with visibility dropping sharply across the morning commute before conditions improve after the fog burns off. Temperatures will climb to around 65 degrees, making for a classic Front Range weather plot twist.
A Dense Fog Advisory remains in effect in some areas until 10 a.m. MDT Friday, while others expire at 8 a.m. MDT. The National Weather Service forecast one-quarter-mile visibility at BJC and LIFR conditions at Denver International Airport.
Fog Lifts Into A Mild Afternoon
Fog should clear by late morning, followed by VFR conditions and light east or northeast winds.
Saturday looks mild and mostly dry, with temperatures in the upper 50s to mid-60s. More fog could develop Friday night into Saturday morning, so early risers may want to allow extra time before heading out.
Uncertain Precipitation Chances Early Next Week

A strong cold front will bring gusty north winds Monday, followed by drier air and decreasing precipitation chances Tuesday. Wednesday looks dry and warmer ahead of the next system.
