A juvenile was attacked and robbed of belongings in August along the 1300 block of East Calaveras Boulevard near Park Victoria Drive in Milpitas, and police say they have now arrested four suspects, ranging in age from 15 to 18, after uncovering evidence that the group possessed multiple firearms. Investigators recovered weapons from each of three separate homes searched during the operation.
Milpitas police announced the arrests and weapons seizures in connection with the robbery and assault, according to CBS San Francisco. Police said multiple suspects were involved and first arrested a 15-year-old from Milpitas before identifying three additional suspects: an 18-year-old from Milpitas, a 17-year-old from Milpitas, and a 15-year-old from San Jose.
Detectives obtained arrest and search warrants for all four suspects after uncovering evidence that they possessed multiple firearms, the station's report states. The Milpitas Police Department's SWAT team and Criminal Investigation Bureau served those warrants during a coordinated operation, recovering firearms from each of the three residences searched. All four were arrested and booked on suspicion of robbery, conspiracy, battery, and multiple alleged weapons violations. Police have not released the suspects' names, per the same account.
A Corridor Lined With Schools and Sports Fields
The stretch of East Calaveras Boulevard where the robbery and assault happened sits just steps from youth gathering spots. The address houses the Milpitas Unified School District's Innovation Campus at 1331 East Calaveras Boulevard and the Milpitas Sports Center complex at 1325 East Calaveras Boulevard, according to Go Milpitas, a corridor that blends high school facilities, sports fields, and dense residential neighborhoods.
That same corridor has drawn attention for pedestrian and traffic safety concerns separate from this case. The City of Milpitas secured a $2.9 million federal Safe Streets and Routes for All grant in September 2024 for pedestrian and bicycle safety improvements. The city has noted that corridors like East Calaveras Boulevard accounted for nearly half of local pedestrian and bike crashes between 2017 and 2021.
Part of a Wider Pattern of Youth Armed Robberies
This is not the only recent case tying Milpitas to teenage armed robbery operations. In July 2026, San Jose Police Department detectives executed search warrants in Milpitas and arrested a 15-year-old juvenile suspect linked to a series of armed robberies involving online merchandise sales, according to the San Jose Police Department.
Regional data suggests violent crime remains a persistent slice of youth offending even as overall juvenile arrests have declined. Santa Clara County Probation Department records show overall juvenile arrests and detentions dropped significantly between 2017 and 2021, prompting county authorities to focus intensive probation resources on high-risk cases involving weapons and violent offenses. Violent offenses also remain part of the broader picture of juvenile crime in the county.
What the Charges Could Mean for the Suspects
The case involves allegations of robbery and conspiracy, with police saying multiple suspects were involved.
Three of the suspects are minors, aged 15, 15 and 17. Santa Clara County's juvenile justice system includes a Secure Youth Treatment Facility.
The operation involved Milpitas police's SWAT team, which joined the Criminal Investigation Bureau in serving the warrants. Police said firearms were recovered from the three residences searched.
Hoodline has previously reported on other Milpitas police operations this year, including a case where a fake Amazon driver crew stole a $70K safe.
