A 3-year-old reported missing in Caldwell County was found and taken to a hospital for evaluation, KVUE reported.
The Caldwell County Sheriff's Office also shared an update about the search on Facebook.
A Coordinated Search Across County Lines
The sheriff's office said the search involved the Precinct 4 Constables Office, Caldwell County Emergency Management, the Bastrop County Sheriff's Office, Texas Parks and Wildlife, the Texas Department of Public Safety and TExSAR.
KVUE also reported that Caldwell County contacted Austin police to check the area.
The department did not release additional details about the child's identity, the circumstances of his disappearance, or how long the search lasted.
Texas Missing-Person Entries
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety's Missing Persons Clearinghouse, 35,181 missing-person entries for people ages 0-17 were recorded in 2023. The data are compiled by the date each record was entered into the FBI's National Crime Information Center.
