Mötley Crüe is returning to the Las Vegas Strip with a new residency called The Carnival of Sins, set to run at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace in March and April 2027. The band will play eight shows on March 19, 20, 24, 26, 27, and 31, and April 2 and 3, with all performances beginning at 8 p.m. Tickets go on sale to the public Friday at 10 a.m. through Ticketmaster.
The announcement was reported by the Las Vegas Review-Journal. The band had been teasing a Strip engagement on social media throughout October. The band's Carnival of Sins tour ran in 2005 and 2006 and produced a live album and concert film recorded at Van Andel Arena in Grand Rapids, Michigan, according to Wikipedia.
A Strip Residency and a Fitting Venue
The Colosseum at Caesars Palace itself carries plenty of Strip pedigree. The 4,100-seat theater opened in 2003 and was built with Celine Dion's “A New Day...” residency in mind, according to the Ticketmaster Blog, and features Roman-style architecture.
The Band's Recent Timeline
Mötley Crüe opened its residency at Dolby Live at Park MGM on September 12, 2025, and performed its most recent Strip run there. The current lineup is Neil on vocals, Nikki Sixx on bass, Tommy Lee on drums, and John 5 on lead guitar.
John 5 joined the band in October 2022 as Mick Mars' touring replacement, according to Wisevoter. He had previously recorded with Sixx for the 2019 biopic soundtrack “The Dirt” before joining full-time, per Guitar.com. Mars' standing with the band was formally resolved this year: in January 2026, an arbitrator ruled entirely in Mötley Crüe's favor in its legal dispute with the founding guitarist, rejecting his claims to band profits and confirming he forfeited touring revenues after retiring from live performances in October 2022 due to ankylosing spondylitis, according to Metal Injection. Mars had sued in April 2023, alleging he was forced out of the band's corporations, but the arbitrator enforced a 2008 agreement stipulating that non-touring members do not share in touring income.
Fresh Off a 33-Date Anniversary Tour
The Vegas announcement lands just weeks after the band wrapped The Return of the Carnival of Sins, a 33-date North American tour with Extreme and Tesla that ran from July 17 to September 26, serving as a 45th-anniversary retrospective of the band's 1981 formation in Los Angeles. During that run, the band also launched the Mötley Crüe Giveback Initiative, directing $1 from every ticket sold to the After School Arts Program to support youth music education, created to offset federal funding reductions for community arts education. Tesla, meanwhile, has already booked its own 2027 Vegas residency at House of Blues.
