A Fatal Crash in South Las Vegas
The fatal crash adds to Nevada's motorcycle death toll. The Nevada Office of Traffic Safety compiles the state's crash and highway-death statistics.
Friday's death also follows another fatal south valley motorcycle crash from earlier this year. In that incident, a 22-year-old Las Vegas man was killed in a suspected DUI crash at East Windmill Lane and South Haven Street, according to the Las Vegas Review-Journal. Police said a 2014 Mercedes-Benz E350 failed to stop at a posted stop sign and struck a 2026 Kawasaki Ninja, and the rider was ejected and pronounced dead at the scene, the paper reported. That crash marked the 79th traffic-related fatality in Metro's jurisdiction for 2026, per the Review-Journal.
