The long-closed 6th & La Brea brewpub and sports bar on South La Brea Avenue could soon become a sprawling new restaurant called Meet Me At 6, according to public filings, with an approved plan allowing 243 seats at the southeast corner of South La Brea Avenue and Sixth Street in Los Angeles.

The property owner has already received approval to serve a full range of alcoholic beverages at the site, according to public filings reported by WhatNow. The planned restaurant would take over the 600-606 S. La Brea Ave. address, a space that previously housed the 6th & La Brea Brewery & Restaurant — a brewpub and sports bar that Yelp lists as closed, per WhatNow's report. David Bina is named as the operator of the planned restaurant, but he did not respond to WhatNow before press time.

A Big Footprint

Filings describe the project as a 5,707-square-foot restaurant, and a job listing on poachedjobs.com separately refers to the site as a second-generation restaurant location at 600 S. La Brea Ave., noting that a listing for the Meet Me At 6 opportunity states that CUB approval was still in process at the time it was posted. The proposed restaurant concept may be called Meet Me At 6, per Larchmont Buzz, which reported in March that this location, the site of the former 6th & La Brea brew pub, restaurant and sports bar, is being reopened by the property owner as the new Meet Me at 6 restaurant.

The approved plan allows 243 seats: 135 indoors and 108 outdoors.

Hours Still Up For Debate

Hours Still Up For Debate The hours of operation are similarly unsettled. The application requested operating hours of 7 a.m. to 2 a.m. daily. The seed report cites separate authorized hours of 8 a.m. to midnight Sunday through Thursday and 8 a.m. to 1 a.m. on Fridays and Saturdays, with patio dining required to close by 10 p.m. daily.

Joining a Crowded, Closely Watched Strip

Whatever its final form, Meet Me At 6 would land on a stretch of South La Brea Avenue that has become one of Los Angeles's most closely watched dining corridors in recent years. The application describes its menu simply as clean, simple and refreshing, though no further menu details have been confirmed.

Just down the street, the former La Brea Bakery flagship at 460-468 S. La Brea Ave. was redeveloped into Leopardo. Eater LA reported that Leopardo opened May 14, retaining a lot of the old bakery's features, with a back patio eventually set to hold 30 diners and full-menu service running Tuesday through Saturday from 5:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. Not far away, LOQUI is bringing its sixth location to 176 S. La Brea Ave. in Mid-Wilshire, taking over the former Bluestone Lane coffee shop space with a menu of tacos, bowls, beer, wine, cocktails and house-made agua fresca, a rollout WhatNow reported is slated for the second quarter of 2026.
