New Berlin families can mark their calendars for this Saturday, October 17, when Brews & Boos takes place at Malone Park from 4 to 9 p.m., with trick-or-treating running from 4 to 7 p.m. More than 30 local businesses and community groups are expected to set up candy and activity stations, and the first 350 trick-or-treaters will walk away with a bag courtesy of WaterStone Bank.
According to the New Berlin Recreation Department, the event is presented by New Berlin Recreation with Drexel Building Supply serving as the presenting sponsor. Attendees can make the rounds among dozens of participating businesses. The recreation department's Facebook announcement promotes trick-or-treating during Brews & Boos on Saturday, October 17.
What's on Tap Beyond Trick-or-Treating
The gathering is billed as more than a candy run. Per a listing from New Berlin Events, Brews & Boos will feature food trucks, a costume contest, a movie, a haunted trail and live music, with the recreation department's own post noting a movie night planned after trick-or-treating wraps up. New Berlin Events also describes the gathering as the third annual community beer garden and trick-or-treat event, continuing a format that pairs family-friendly trick-or-treating with a beer garden setup.
The New Berlin Chamber of Commerce Visitors Bureau likewise refers to the gathering as the 3rd Annual Brews & Boos Community Halloween Event and lists Malone Park as its venue. The Chamber listing gives the address as 16400 W. Al Stigler Pkwy. Attendees should check the recreation department's event page for current details before heading out.
A Tradition Still Taking Shape
A Third Annual Halloween Event Brews & Boos is now in its third year as a community Halloween event in New Berlin. The gathering brings local businesses and community groups together for trick-or-treating.
This year's event features trick-or-treating, candy and activities from dozens of local businesses, plus WaterStone Bank giveaway bags for early arrivals. With Halloween just around the corner, Saturday's event gives New Berlin families a chance to get costumes out for a test run before the big night itself.
