A husband-and-wife team has opened a Jeremiah's Italian Ice shop at Solms Landing in New Braunfels, bringing Italian ice, soft serve and Jelati Cakes to the corner of Sophie Lane and Creekside Crossing. The new location at 2292 Sophie Lane, Suite 101, is locally owned and operated by Trishna Patel and Nihal Pantangi, who built the shop around a mural that quietly tells their own story alongside the city's.

According to Community Impact, the shop opened Tuesday in the Solms Landing development, with Patel and Pantangi running the business as a married couple. The company's own location listing confirms the address at jeremiahsice.com, which places the storefront at the corner of Sophie Lane and Creekside Crossing. Earlier reporting from CultureMap San Antonio had described Jeremiah's as one of several snack-shop concepts, including Swig and Grain & Berry, planning to open steps from each other at the same 2292 Sophie Lane address.

A Mural Built From Family Memories and City Landmarks

Patel helped create the New Braunfels-inspired mural that now anchors the shop's interior, per Community Impact's reporting. The artwork weaves together the Comal River, the Comal County Courthouse and Gruene Hall, stitching the shop's identity to recognizable corners of the city.

Tucked into the design are two swans meant to represent Patel and Pantangi themselves, alongside bald eagles carrying German sausages, a playful nod to New Braunfels' German heritage. The eagles double as a personal touch, too, since Community Impact reports they represent birds the couple frequently sees near their own home.

What's on the Menu

The shop serves up Jeremiah's full lineup, including Italian ice and soft serve ice cream in a range of flavors. The brand's own treats page lists more than 40 Italian Ice flavors at jeremiahsice.com, spanning what the company calls the full taste spectrum.

Beyond the classic cup, the New Braunfels location also sells Jelati Cakes, which combine Italian ice and soft serve ice cream into a dessert built for sharing. Per the same source, the cakes are made fresh in-store and serve eight to 10 people, making them a go-to option for birthdays and other gatherings. Jeremiah's broader Jelati lineup layers Italian ice, soft ice cream and mix-ins together for a creamier spin on the brand's signature treat.

Earlier coverage from WhatNow described the planned shop as offering counter service, indoor seating and a pickup window for to-go orders, while noting that a construction permit application had been submitted ahead of the build-out. That outlet also traced the brand's roots back to 1996, when Jeremy “Jeremiah” Litwack founded Jeremiah's Italian Ice in Winter Park, Florida.

Part of a Fast-Growing Texas Footprint

The New Braunfels opening adds to a Texas expansion that has been building for years. In 2022, Jeremiah's announced a 50-unit franchise deal aimed at growing its presence across the state, according to mySA. A separate report from qsrweb.com detailed that the deal covered more than 50 locations with a majority focus on Dallas, Fort Worth and Sherman, and noted the brand had already awarded more than 225 franchise units across over 90 franchise groups since launching in 2019.

By August 2025, mySA reported that Jeremiah's operated more than a dozen Texas locations, including shops in San Antonio, Cedar Park and Katy, and had grown to more than 150 locations nationwide. The brand also climbed from No. 450 to No. 412 on Franchise Times' 2024 Top 400 list, per the same report.

Not every Texas location has stuck around, though. CultureMap San Antonio reported that the city's sole Jeremiah's location, on Culebra Road, closed less than a year after its 2024 debut, a reminder that the Italian ice business can be a tough one to sustain even amid rapid chain-wide growth. For now, New Braunfels locals can find their own scoop of nostalgia, mural and all, at the new Solms Landing storefront.
