New Port Richey police are asking the public to help put names to two faces caught using a stolen debit card that belonged to an elderly victim. Investigators say a man and a woman ran the card several times across Pasco and Hernando counties on February 1, racking up unauthorized charges before vanishing from the case entirely.
According to a report from Patch, the two suspects used the elderly victim's stolen card multiple times that day, moving between the two counties. The New Port Richey Police Department posted on Facebook asking for help identifying the pair in connection with the investigation.
Detectives Say Any Lead Could Help
Police have not released details on how much money was taken, how many transactions were made, or exactly where the card was used beyond the two-county span. The report also does not indicate whether the suspects have since been identified, arrested, or charged, leaving the case open as detectives work the tip line.
Investigators are leaning on the public for that missing piece. Per the same account, anyone who recognizes either person pictured in the department's post is urged to come forward, since even a small detail could advance the investigation and help detectives close the gap between the photos and real names.
How to Reach Investigators
Those who can identify the man or woman are asked to call Detective E. Campbell at 727-232-8902. The department has not said whether any other agencies are assisting, and the investigation remained ongoing with no additional information available at the time. The case surfaced on February 12, 2025.
