A newly completed Gulf-front estate at 2050 Gordon Drive in Naples has sold off market for $71 million, closing one of the largest private residential deals the city has seen this year. The 1.58-acre property, tucked inside the gated Gordon Drive Estates community, comes with roughly 150 feet of direct Gulf of Mexico frontage and a brand-new 9,551-square-foot home built to impress even by Naples standards.

The sale price landed about $4 million below the $75 million the property was privately marketed for, according to a GlobeNewswire release detailing the transaction. The seven-bedroom residence totals 21,461 square feet when counting outdoor living space, and includes seven full bathrooms, two half bathrooms, a dedicated guest suite and six garage spaces. It was designed by Naples-based Stofft Cooney Architects and built by Equinox Construction Group, with landscape work from Architectural Land Design, as reported by The Real Deal.

Amenities Built for Gulf Coast Living

Beyond the square footage, the home is stacked with the kind of extras that define the top of the Naples luxury market: a heated pool and spa, a commercial-grade elevator, an 80-kilowatt generator and natural gas service, per the same GlobeNewswire release. The listing materials don't skimp on resiliency either, pairing beachfront glamour with backup power built to withstand Southwest Florida's storm season.

Paul Arpin, Pete Reppucci and Michael Giacalone of Premier Sotheby's International Realty represented the property in the private transaction, the release states. Collier County property records had not yet been updated to reflect the buyer at the time of reporting, according to the Business Observer.

A Pattern of Mega-Deals Along Gordon Drive

A Pattern of Mega-Deals Along Gordon Drive The Gordon Drive sale arrives about four months after a separate, unrelated assemblage made headlines in the same Naples corridor. In June, a mystery buyer added a neighboring beachfront property in the city's Port Royal neighborhood for $86 million, bringing the four-property assemblage to roughly $311 million, according to The Real Deal. The buyer had previously paid $225 million for three of those properties in a deal reported as the largest residential sale in Florida's history.

The Business Observer notes that at least one other Naples home, at 20 14th Ave. S., sold for $62.5 million in September, making the Gordon Drive deal at least the third Naples sale above $62 million this year. Premier Sotheby's said in its release that four additional Naples luxury properties have sold for more than $62 million since a record-setting sale four years earlier, with global real estate advisor Paul Arpin noting that sales above $60 million in Naples now happen more than once a year.

Broader Naples Market Still Tightening

The blockbuster sale lands against a backdrop of a broader Naples-area market that remains tight even as trophy deals pile up. Overall closed sales across Collier County, excluding Marco Island, rose 2.5 percent year over year to 623 in September, while inventory fell 17.3 percent to 4,240 properties, according to Florida Weekly. The median closed price across the market climbed 4.5 percent to $575,000, and pending sales were up 19 percent year to date compared with 2025, even after a dip in September.

Those figures underscore just how far the $71 million Gordon Drive sale sits above the rest of the market, where most Naples buyers are closing deals in the hundreds of thousands, not tens of millions. Still, overall inventory fell and median prices rose, signs of continued activity in the region.
