Newport News police are asking for the public's help finding Kalvin Artis, a 20-year-old man they say is missing and endangered. Artis was last seen Friday near 110 Landridge Court, and investigators believe his safety may be at risk because of a medical condition.
The Newport News Police Department requested help locating Artis, according to WAVY.com. Police say Artis is considered endangered due to the medical condition, per the same report.
Investigators say Artis left the area in a 2011 silver Ford Fusion bearing license plate TAK2506, a detail police hope will help the public spot him.
How To Help Locate Artis
Anyone with information about Kalvin Artis's whereabouts is urged to call 911 or the Newport News Police Department's non-emergency line at 757-247-2500. Police have not released further details about the circumstances of his disappearance beyond what has already been shared.
This is not the first time Newport News police have issued a public plea over a missing endangered adult. In July, the department searched for a missing endangered 22-year-old man last seen near Christopher Newport University, according to a separate report from WTKR. And in May 2025, Virginia State Police issued a critically missing adult alert on behalf of Newport News police for another man considered endangered, as reported by WAVY.com at the time.
It remains unclear whether Artis has been located since the police department's request was issued. Hoodline will update this story if new information becomes available.
