No Regrets Pizza Co. is gearing up to open its second Montgomery County location next month, with construction on the new Bethesda space already about halfway finished. The fast-casual spot is set to land at 4925 Fairmont Ave. in the Woodmont Triangle neighborhood, on the ground floor of The Sophia apartment building, right next door to a familiar bakery and a cluster of established restaurants.

Founder Richard Weiner says construction on the new space is roughly 50% complete as of Oct. 7, according to Bethesda Magazine. The shop will open next to Paris Baguette and near restaurants including ala, Bistro Provence and Medium Rare, per the same outlet. Unlike the pizzeria's original full-service restaurant, this new storefront is designed for speed and takeaway rather than a sit-down dinner.

The Bethesda location will feature a counter built for takeaway service, with only limited indoor seating, according to the Bethesda Magazine report. Per whatnow.com, the roughly 1,000-square-foot space is expected to seat around 12 guests inside and make room for about 20 more outside. Guests looking for a drink with their slice will be able to order beer and wine, but not cocktails or liquor, the same report notes.

A Fast-Casual Spin on a Familiar Menu

The new shop is expected to serve the same three pizza styles that built No Regrets' reputation: Roman, Neapolitan and New York-style, alongside pastas, salads, sandwiches and desserts, per Bethesda Magazine's reporting. The Roman-style pie, notably, carries a rectangular shape and a light, crispy crust built on a 72-hour cold fermentation process. That lineup stands in contrast to the original Harwood Flats restaurant, which also offers Italian street sandwiches, homemade pasta dishes, craft cocktails and locally produced beers alongside its full bar.

Weiner opened that first location, a full-service restaurant at 5454 Nicholson Lane in North Bethesda, in May 2024. The fast-casual format now coming to Woodmont Triangle marks a deliberate departure from that model. The station's earlier report quoted Weiner describing the approach plainly: “The fast casual model for us is defined as no wait staff service.”

If the counter-service concept catches on, Weiner's team is looking at rolling it out elsewhere, whatnow.com reports. The idea is to capture heavier walk-in and takeout traffic than the original sit-down restaurant was built to handle.

Timeline Has Shifted More Than Once

The November target is the latest in a string of projected opening dates for the second shop. Bethesda Magazine had reported in September 2025 that the location was slated to open in downtown Bethesda by March 2026, while whatnow.com later reported Weiner was optimistic about a May 2026 opening. Neither earlier outlet's report explained what pushed the timeline back, and the dossier does not resolve why the dates shifted.

Before the new restaurant can open its doors, it will need to clear several Montgomery County inspections, Bethesda Magazine reports. The Montgomery County Department of Permitting Services handles plan reviews for food service facilities as part of that process, according to the Montgomery County Department of Health and Human Services.

Flagship Restaurant Getting a Makeover Too

While the Woodmont Triangle buildout continues, No Regrets is also investing in its original Harwood Flats restaurant. The company has signed a lease to expand into vacant space behind its existing North Bethesda storefront, according to The MoCo Show. Dishwashing and prep stations will be relocated into that new space, freeing up room in the existing kitchen.

The flagship is also getting a dedicated pizza oven built specifically for takeout orders, plus a separate takeout entrance accessible from Huff Court, easing congestion for customers who are just grabbing a pie to go. The company is establishing a commissary kitchen at the North Bethesda storefront to support both locations, whatnow.com reports. Store Reporter has also noted planned patio upgrades at the flagship, including a roof and weather protection meant to keep outdoor dining going year-round.
