A sprawling North Lawrence estate known as Lakeside Manor goes under the hammer Saturday, Oct. 24, 2026, and whoever shows up with the highest bid walks away with a 15,781-square-foot home, a seven-acre private ski lake, and a horse barn — no minimum price required. The property at 12785 Youth St. NW sits on more than 45 acres in Stark County and has been owned by the Barkheimer family for more than a decade, according to FOX 8 News.
The main residence includes seven bedrooms, six full bathrooms, a six-car garage, and a separate mother-in-law suite with its own entrance, kitchen, two bedrooms, and a walk-out lower level, according to a listing from KIKO Auctioneers, the Canton-based firm running the sale. That total built square footage encompasses the roughly 8,000-square-foot main living space FOX 8 News described, along with the attached guest quarters. The estate is being split into two bidding options: Parcel 1, a 38.5-acre tract with the main home and the ski lake, and Parcel 2, eight acres with the horse barn and fenced pasture, per a listing from LandSearch that identifies the property across Stark County tax parcels #2411448, #2411467, and #2411466.
No Reserve, No Bid-Backs
The sale is structured as an absolute auction, with no minimum price and the property going to the highest bidder on auction day. KIKO Auctioneers is overseeing the sale. Bidders will also be able to combine both parcels into one purchase through the auction's multi-parcel bidding process, the same listing notes.
The Stark County Auditor appraised the property at $2,668,700, according to FOX 8 News.
A Private Lake Built for Watersports
The centerpiece outdoor feature is the seven-acre ski lake. FOX 8 News also reported that the estate includes an indoor pool and a boat house among its resort-style amenities.
Equipment and Memorabilia Also Up for Bid
The Barkheimer family has owned the estate for more than a decade. Alongside the land and buildings, the auction will include equipment and memorabilia, according to a listing from KIKO Auctioneers.
The auction is scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 24. Whether the final price lands closer to the county's tax valuation or Zillow's multimillion-dollar estimate will depend entirely on who shows up ready to bid on a property that, by design, has no floor.
