A man died Sunday evening after a crash on East Broadway Street in North Little Rock, and police say they still have not released his identity while they work to notify his next of kin. The driver of the other vehicle involved was taken to the North Little Rock Justice Center for questioning, though no arrests have been announced.
According to nwaonline.com, officers responded around 7 p.m. Sunday to a wreck involving a motorcycle and another vehicle in the 700 block of East Broadway Street. Officers arrived to find a man suffering injuries consistent with the crash, and as arkansasonline.com reports, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
The victim's name had not been made public as of Sunday night because officers were still working to notify next of kin, the same report notes. Authorities also did not release the identity of the other driver or say whether any citations or arrests resulted from the crash, leaving key questions about how the collision occurred unanswered for now.
Driver Taken In, No Arrests Announced
The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene following the crash, according to fox16.com. That driver was later taken to the North Little Rock Justice Center to speak with detectives, per the same nwaonline.com account, though it remains unclear what, if any, outcome came from that interview.
A November 2024 KARK traffic alert described a separate crash on the Broadway Bridge. That report said officers responded at approximately 5:42 p.m. to a crash on the Broadway Bridge, and it described the vehicles involved as a small moped and a minivan, both reportedly traveling south across the bridge when the collision happened, according to kark.com. Later reporting from the same outlet, along with other local coverage, described the separate fatal crash on Oct. 4, 2026, around 7 p.m. in the 700 block of East Broadway Street, involving a motorcycle and another vehicle. The two reports concern separate crashes nearly two years apart.
Investigation Remains Open
Detectives processed the scene and conducted interviews as part of the investigation, according to KATV. Arkansasonline.com reports that the investigation remains open and ongoing, with no additional details released about the cause of the crash or any potential charges.
North Little Rock police have handled similar fatal crash investigations before. In May 2023, the department investigated a separate accident that killed a man, according to a news release cited by The Arkansas Democrat-Gazette at the time. As with Sunday's crash, authorities have not yet said what led to the collision on East Broadway Street, and the victim's family has not been publicly identified.
