Orlando Science Center is swapping sippy cups for cocktail glasses next Saturday night, hosting OSC After Dark, an adults-only Halloween party running from 8 to 11 p.m. on Oct. 31. The event is open only to guests 21 and older, giving grown-ups a rare shot at wandering the museum's exhibits without a single field trip group in sight.
Costumes are encouraged for the night, according to Orlando Science Center, and ticket holders get access to an open bar running the entire evening. General admission runs $50, while Orlando Science Center members and Young Professionals can get in for $35, according to the Orlando Date Night Guide. As WFTV reports, the party gives the Science Center's exhibits a kid-free spin for the night.
Laser Lights, Karaoke and a Fight Over Pumpkins
The night's entertainment lineup includes a Halloween-themed laser light show and karaoke, per the science center's description of the event for its Young Professionals program. There's also a costume contest, with the venue promising prizes for the most standout outfits, plus spooky trivia challenges that come with their own prizes for winners.
One of the odder offerings on the docket: a pumpkin challenge, where guests design and build a contraption meant to take back the pumpkins. The station's report also notes that guests can head to the observatory for Haunted Skies and dance at a Monster Mash set up inside DinoDigs.
Rules at the Door
Face coverings are allowed but should not obstruct vision, and they must be removable for identification checks when requested, per the event listing. Weapons are not permitted at OSC After Dark, the museum states plainly on its site.
Where the Ticket Money Goes
Proceeds from OSC After Dark benefit the Science for All Fund, which the museum says helps remove social, economic or cultural barriers to accessing the Science Center. That fund is meant to expand access to Orlando Science Center programs more broadly, beyond just the Halloween party itself.
This isn't the museum's first run at a grown-up Halloween night. A 2025 edition of the party landed on Oct. 25 and carried the same 21-and-older rule, according to Bungalower. That earlier version also featured an open bar all night, karaoke, costume contests, trivia and a Monster Mash in DinoDigs, with the same $50 general admission and $35 member and Young Professional pricing.
