A 16-year-old in Parker County is facing multiple felony charges after investigators say the teen used artificial intelligence to generate nude images of another child and uploaded them to TikTok. The case came to light after the platform flagged the material to a national watchdog agency, setting off a monthslong investigation that authorities say ultimately identified at least four juvenile victims.

According to CBS News Texas, TikTok alerted the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children after a user shared the AI-generated images on the platform. That tip was passed along to Celina police before investigators traced the activity to Parker County, according to the report, which also aired as part of a CBS News video segment on the arrest.

The investigation actually began back in July, when TikTok first notified the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, and the Parker County Sheriff's Office says it received the information on Sept. 29, per FOX 4 News. Investigators then moved quickly, executing a search warrant at a residence on Oct. 1 and seizing electronic devices as part of the probe.

Teen Allegedly Confessed to Altering Photos

The station's report states that the suspect confessed to taking photographs of a younger juvenile and using AI to alter the images to make the subject appear nude. Investigators later found that the scope of the alleged scheme went well beyond a single victim. A review of evidence on Oct. 8 showed the teen had obtained photos of at least three other juvenile victims and transformed those images into deepfakes before posting them to TikTok, the outlet reported.

Investigators have since identified all of the juvenile victims and notified their families, per the same account. The 16-year-old now faces three charges: second-degree felony possession of child pornography, state jail felony voyeurism of a child victim, and state jail felony possession of certain visual material depicting a child, according to the report. The juvenile was processed and released to their parents while awaiting juvenile court proceedings.

Part of a Broader Pattern in Parker County

This case follows closely on the heels of another child exploitation arrest in the same county. On Sept. 23, the Parker County Sheriff's Office arrested 43-year-old Jerrod Roper in an investigation involving a 15-year-old juvenile victim, according to a report from Yahoo News. Roper was charged with Sexual Performance by a Child and Online Solicitation of a Minor, both second-degree felonies, and is being held in the Parker County Jail on a $1 million bond, the outlet reported.

The Parker County case also arrives amid a broader statewide push against child exploitation. A recent crackdown known as Operation Soteria Shield, which ran from March through April 2026 and brought together 91 agencies and 197 personnel, led to 276 arrests and the rescue of 89 children across Texas, CBS News Texas reported separately. Those arrested in that operation faced charges ranging from possession, distribution and production of child sexual abuse material to online solicitation, trafficking and sexual assault, and officials said at the time that the cases remained active with additional charges likely as forensic reviews continued.

No further details about the Parker County teen's identity, residence, or upcoming court dates have been released, and the case remains in the juvenile justice system. Authorities have not indicated whether additional charges are expected in this specific case.
