CrimeStoppers Honolulu is asking the public to help identify a woman suspected of stealing merchandise from a Pearl City retail store on July 31. Investigators describe her as having worn a white sweatshirt, blue denim shorts, a printed beanie and tan shoes while carrying a large black bag during the theft.
According to KITV, CrimeStoppers Honolulu asked the public directly to help identify the woman suspected in the theft. Anyone who provides information leading to an arrest may be eligible for a reward of up to $1,000, per the same outlet.
Pearl City Has Seen a String of Retail Theft Tips
This is far from the first time CrimeStoppers has turned to the public for help with retail theft cases centered on Pearl City. The organization has previously featured cases involving a vehicle break-in on Pali Highway and a wallet theft in Pearl City, as detailed in a separate KITV report. In that case from November 2024, a male suspect loaded merchandise into a cart at Ross Pearl Highlands, assaulted an employee when confronted, and fled without paying. The same report also described a man who took a wallet left on a convenience-store counter in Pearl City in October 2024, and another suspect who broke into a vehicle parked on Pali Highway that November and removed property before fleeing.
CrimeStoppers' weekly roundups have regularly spotlighted multiple retail theft incidents alongside other property crimes, according to hawaiinewsnow.com, which reported that two retail theft cases and a property-damage case were featured in one such roundup. That report detailed how two male suspects entered the Sam's Club in Pearl City on March 17, took merchandise valued at more than $70, and fled without paying. The same roundup described a female suspect who entered the Home Depot in Pearl City on May 5, selected merchandise, and walked out without paying, as well as a man who broke into New Hope church in Waipahu on May 6 and damaged a security-camera cable before fleeing.
