According to Community Impact, a representative for Kinney Restaurant Management Inc. said construction of the project is set to wrap up in November, though the company has not announced when the doors will actually open. The report notes there is not a set opening date yet, leaving Pflugerville residents to wonder exactly when they'll be able to grab a McGriddle from the new spot.
The project traces back to at least October 2025, when Community Impact first reported that plans for a new McDonald's in Pflugerville were in the works, according to a filing with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation. That filing, per a project record hosted by Zabalist, shows the development was registered with TDLR on September 29, 2025, with McDonald's USA, LLC listed as the property owner and JAW Architects, Inc. named as the design firm of record.
From Permits to Groundbreaking
The same project record pegs construction costs at roughly $1.5 million for the new building. Zabalist's listing lays out a 182-day build window, with construction scheduled to start in June 2026 and finish in November 2026 — timing that lines up with the November completion date cited by the Kinney Restaurant Management Inc. representative.
Separately, a record maintained by the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation describes the project as privately funded, built on private land for private use, without reliance on public grants to cover construction costs.
Hiring Already Underway
Even with construction still in progress, the hiring push has already begun. A Snagajob listing posted in July identifies a McDonald's new location at 1208 East Wells Branch in Pflugerville, Texas, and advertises that crew member opportunities are available practically anytime. A similar posting on talents.vaia.com also references a new location at East Wells Branch in Pflugerville, suggesting the chain is building out its roster well ahead of opening day.
Once finished, the restaurant will become the third McDonald's in Pflugerville, giving the city another option along a stretch of Wells Branch Parkway that continues to see new development. For now, the only certainty is the November construction timeline — when the griddle actually starts flipping burgers for customers remains an open question.
