
Philadelphia police are asking for the public's help finding Emilio Montealegre, a 16-year-old who left his home on the 5100 block of Torresdale Avenue and hasn't been seen since. According to police, he walked away from the residence around 1:30 p.m. on Thursday and has not returned.
The Philadelphia Police Department confirmed it is seeking the public's assistance in locating Montealegre, identifying him as a 16-year-old Hispanic male, according to Newport Dispatch. Police describe him as standing 5 feet 6 inches tall and weighing approximately 160 pounds, with short brown hair and brown eyes.
At the time he left, Montealegre was possibly wearing a white t-shirt and gray sweatpants, the outlet reports. Investigators say he is known to frequent the areas of Bridesburg and Port Richmond, two Northeast Philadelphia neighborhoods not far from where he was last seen.
Case Falls Under Northeast Detectives
The missing-person case has been assigned to the Northeast Detective Division, which has asked anyone with information to come forward. Those with details about Montealegre's whereabouts are urged to call detectives at 215-686-3153.
The Philadelphia Police Department listed the case on its roster of missing juveniles from the 15th District, which covers much of lower Northeast Philadelphia. No further details about the circumstances of his disappearance have been released.
