Pittsburgh police have issued an arrest warrant for David Rose, 41, of Vandergrift, in connection with an alleged baseball-bat assault on a gas station employee. Rose faces two counts of aggravated assault, as well as simple assault, disorderly conduct and related charges, TribLive reported.

The employee was treated at a hospital for a fractured fibula in his right leg, according to TribLive. The criminal complaint, as described by WTAE, says investigators found video showing Rose with a baseball bat, but not footage of the alleged blows. WTAE also reported that hospital findings were consistent with an injury from a blunt object.

Police were called to the Cedar Avenue Sunoco shortly before 4 a.m. Tuesday. In the account summarized by WTAE, the employee said an argument began after he asked Rose for a cigarette. The employee told police he threw rocks that struck Rose’s vehicle, then said Rose chased and hit him with the bat. Rose acknowledged pursuing the employee but told investigators that the man fell in the road, WTAE reported. The employee said he had been struck about 20 times.
