Not the First Alley Death in Plano
This is not the first time a body has turned up in a Plano alley. Back in January 2022, according to FOX 4 News Dallas-Fort Worth, police investigated the death of a man found in an alley in a Plano neighborhood. More recently, in May 2025, FOX 4 reported that police arrested Carlos Arthur Schurman Mendes, a 44-year-old Dallas man, in connection with a separate fatal shooting in Plano — a separate case from the 2022 alley death.
