Deputies with the Harris County Precinct 4 Constable's Office helped pull a woman who could not walk on her own out of a burning home on the 8200 block of Brinkworth Lane Monday night, working alongside Cypress Creek Fire Department crews as emergency teams swarmed the quiet Prestonwood Forest street.
A Facebook post from Constable Mark Herman's Precinct 4 office was shared Monday night.

Emergency Services Districts in Texas
Chapter 775 of the Texas Health and Safety Code authorizes ESDs as state-sanctioned taxing entities created by local voters to fund fire and EMS response in unincorporated areas that lack city departments. Cypress Creek Fire Department serves roughly 80,000 residents across about 25 square miles.
Law enforcement duties instead fall to the Harris County Precinct 4 Constable's Office, the largest constable agency in the country, with more than 670 sworn deputies covering a 520-square-mile territory and over 1.1 million residents. Hoodline has reported that deputies routinely handle scene security and traffic control.
Cypress Creek Fire Department Resources
Cypress Creek's Station 24 is on Perry Road. The department overall runs as a combination operation staffing roughly 145 to 150 personnel, blending career firefighters, part-timers, and volunteers around the clock, according to data compiled by FireConnect. Cypress Creek held an Insurance Services Office Class 2/2Y Public Protection Classification, placing it among the top-performing combination fire departments for community fire preparedness.
That readiness is funded locally. In October, ESD 13 released a 2026 budget profile noting that district property taxes run about $348 a year for a $350,000 home to keep 24/7 fire and emergency response staffed across its five stations, an allocation overseen by an elected five-member board of commissioners.
Earlier Fire Response in Northwest Harris County
In September, Precinct 4 deputies worked alongside Cy-Fair Fire Department crews during a residential fire on Pasha Drive, where first responders evaluated a female resident on scene before she was taken to the hospital, as Hoodline previously reported.
Precinct 4's Facebook post promoted its other public channels, directing residents to facebook.com/precinct4, the department's Instagram account at @constablepct4, and the C4 Now mobile app for updates. The office did not release additional details on the cause of the fire, the extent of damage to the home, or the resident's current condition.
