The National Weather Service Detroit/Pontiac expects north winds around 9 mph Friday, with gusts reaching 21 mph. The morning commute could be damp, but conditions should improve steadily through the afternoon, with partly sunny skies arriving later in the day.
Clear Skies Return Friday Night
Friday night will turn mostly clear and noticeably cooler, with temperatures dropping to around 47 degrees. Saturday will bring plenty of sunshine, a high near 63 and light northeast winds — a much friendlier setup for fall errands, football and outdoor plans.
Sunday Brings The Weekend Warmup
Sunday looks like the warmest day of the weekend, with sunny skies and a high near 70. The forecast remains dry early next week, although Monday and Tuesday will be cooler, with highs near 62 and overnight lows falling into the low 40s.
Sunny weather is expected to continue Wednesday and Thursday, when highs rebound to around 69 and 71 degrees. Boaters should note that small craft advisories remain in effect for parts of Lake Huron Friday as stronger north winds move across the open water.
