A sweet and spicy newcomer has landed on Bay Area Boulevard. Refresqueria soft-opened a Webster location last Saturday, bringing its lineup of aguas frescas, chamoy-coated treats and Mexican street snacks to a storefront at 2920 W. Bay Area Blvd., Ste. G.
The Webster shop soft-opened on Oct. 3, according to Community Impact Newspaper, which reported the opening. The outlet describes a menu built around aguas frescas, dairy specialties, frutti nieve and fresas con crema, alongside sundaes, banana splits and a coconut sundae. Chamoy specialties, paletas, snow cones and milkshakes round out the sweets side, while hot dogs, street nachos and elote cover the savory end of the counter.
Refresqueria's roots trace back to Texas City, where the business operates its original location, per the same report. A MapQuest listing places that first shop at 2504 25th Ave. N., Ste. 13, in Texas City, an address also listed by Refresqueria. The company's website, www.refresqueria.net, has represented the brand since at least its earlier expansion into Houston.
A Growing Footprint Across the Region
Webster marks Refresqueria's latest stop in a slow build-out that began years ago. The Rice Village shop opened at 5407 Morningside Drive on Nov. 7, according to earlier Community Impact reporting. That account described the shop as a snack-focused concept offering fruit bowls, candy, ice cream, snow cones, elote and mangonadas — a menu that closely mirrors what Webster customers can now find on Bay Area Boulevard.
Community Impact's Rice Village coverage described that shop as Refresqueria's second location, after its first shop in Texas City.
What's on the Menu
Delivery platforms suggest the Webster shop is already plugged into the usual ordering apps. A DoorDash listing for Refresqueria at Bay Area-Webster, Texas, includes a banana split served sundae style, with special instructions available for ice cream flavor, toppings, sauces, whipped cream, cherries and nuts. It's a small signal that the new location is running a menu consistent with the chain's established offerings elsewhere.
