Orlando is waking up to cloudy skies and a breezy Monday, with temperatures near 64 degrees before sunrise and a high near 80. Passing showers are possible through early afternoon before the sky turns partly sunny, giving Central Florida a little of everything before lunch.

Showers Fade As Gusts Build

Rain chances are around 30% today, with the best odds before 1 p.m. Northeast winds will run 10 to 20 mph and could gust as high as 35 mph, while tonight turns mostly clear with a low near 62.

Tuesday brings a sunnier and drier pattern, but the breeze will stick around. North winds of 10 to 15 mph could gust to 25 mph during the day, so loose decorations, lightweight patio furniture and overconfident umbrellas may all need attention.

Beach Conditions Remain Dangerous

The biggest safety concern is along the Atlantic coast, where rough surf and life-threatening rip currents are expected to continue. A High Surf Advisory remains in effect through early Wednesday, with breaking waves of 6 to 10 feet and possible beach erosion, according to the National Weather Service.

Anyone heading to beaches near Volusia, Brevard or Indian River counties should stay out of the water. Boaters should also expect hazardous conditions, with Small Craft Advisories continuing through Thursday and particularly rough seas offshore.

Sunny Stretch Arrives Before A Windy Weekend

Orlando should stay mostly sunny from Tuesday through Friday, with highs near 80 to 81 degrees and overnight lows generally in the low 60s. Rain chances remain close to zero through Thursday, with only a small chance of showers entering the forecast Friday.

The forecast turns more unsettled Saturday, when a 40% chance of showers and thunderstorms arrives alongside northeast winds of 15 to 25 mph and gusts up to 40 mph. Sunday remains breezy with a 30% chance of showers, a high near 79 and another round of gusts that could reach 40 mph.

The latest outlook sharpens the coastal hazards and extends the rough-weather pattern into the weekend, following Hoodline’s Sunday forecast. For inland Orlando, that means a manageable Monday, a welcome run of sunny days and a weekend better suited to securing the patio than planning a carefree beach day.
