A 20-year-old Ronkonkoma man accused of exposing himself to women in Suffolk County parking lots was arrested again, this time facing two more public lewdness charges tied to alleged incidents in Centereach and Commack. Nicholas Critelli was arrested on October 16 and arraigned the following day, just months after a similar arrest in June led to charges in Sayville.

According to longisland.com, the most recent incident took place on October 14 at approximately 9:27 p.m., when Critelli was allegedly parked in a Target parking lot in Commack and called out to a woman while masturbating. He reportedly told her, “Oh my god. You're so pretty. Are you from around here?” TBR News Media reported that Fourth Precinct officers responded to a 911 call about the Commack parking lot, located at 98 Veterans Memorial Highway, placing the incident at approximately 9:25 p.m. — a discrepancy in timing between the two accounts.

Thirteen days earlier, on October 1 at around 9:40 p.m., Critelli allegedly sat in his vehicle in a Walmart parking lot in Centereach while masturbating in full view of a female passerby, per the same account from longisland.com. News 12 Long Island reported that Suffolk police say Critelli committed the lewd act while calling over a woman near the Centereach mall.

A Pattern Dating Back to June

The October allegations echo a pair of incidents months earlier in Sayville. On June 4 at approximately 9:53 p.m., Critelli allegedly masturbated in front of a woman in a Target parking lot, the same outlet's report notes. Two days later, on June 6, he allegedly called out to a woman who was out for a walk and asked for her Snapchat information while masturbating in front of her.

Those incidents led to Critelli's arrest on June 16. He was arraigned on July 6 on two counts of public lewdness and released on his own recognizance, according to Daily Voice. The outlet reported that Critelli was first arrested following two incidents in June, then released, before the October allegations surfaced.

No Bail Allowed Under State Law

When Critelli was arrested again on October 16, he was arraigned the next day on two more public lewdness misdemeanors and freed on supervised release, Daily Voice reported. Per longisland.com, the two October charges are considered non-bail eligible under current New York law, meaning prosecutors could not ask for bail and the judge could not set it.

New York's penal code defines public lewdness as intentionally exposing one's private or intimate parts in a lewd manner, or committing another lewd act, in a public place or in private premises where someone could readily be observed from a public space, according to the New York State Senate's published statute.

The South Shore Press reported that Critelli allegedly masturbated in front of four unsuspecting women across the separate incidents spanning June and October 2026.

Investigators Seek Potential Additional Victims

Investigators believe there may be additional victims who have not yet come forward, longisland.com reported, citing a request from authorities asking anyone with information to contact the Suffolk County Police Department at 631-854-8452. Critelli is due back in court on November 4, 2026, according to the same report.
