A new wellness business called Rosemary House is headed for downtown St. Petersburg, with plans to combine yoga and Pilates classes with a curated retail shop on the ground floor of the Saltaire building. The owners are targeting an early 2027 opening, though a specific date has not been announced.

According to WhatNow, Rosemary House will combine fitness classes, heated and non-heated yoga, and a substantial retail component in a single space. A representative told the outlet the business chose St. Petersburg because of the city's growth and its support for small businesses, and said the goal is for Rosemary House to provide a sanctuary for visitors. The representative also said the company hopes to expand someday.

The address has been reported two different ways. WhatNow lists the business at 301 1st St. S. in St. Petersburg, while St. Pete Rising reports the planned address as 325 1st Street South, also describing it as the ground floor of the Saltaire building. Both accounts agree the space totals 1,500 square feet, with the same outlet noting the layout will feature a retail area near the front windows and a studio toward the back.

Four Class Styles Planned, Along With a Clean-Ingredient Shop

Rosemary House plans to offer four class types: Yoga Sculpt, Vinyasa Flow, Mat Pilates and Yin Yoga. Per St. Pete Rising's reporting, each class is expected to run 50 minutes and will welcome all experience levels, with large windows planned to bring natural light into the studio.

On the retail side, WhatNow reports Rosemary House will sell supplements and other wellness supplies, with a curated store stocking skin care, hair care, deodorants and household cleaners made with clean and organic ingredients. The idea is to let the front-of-house shop and back-of-house studio function as one combined wellness stop for downtown visitors.

Construction Timeline Hinges on a Pending Permit

The business is still waiting on its construction permit. The owners anticipate roughly three months of construction once that approval comes through, the same St. Pete Rising report notes, and WhatNow adds that the company plans to receive permits to begin construction in the week after October 30. No opening date has been formally announced, and the class schedule has not been finalized, though the owners expect weekday classes to start around 6 a.m. with the last class of the day beginning around 7 p.m.

Another Yoga Studio Also Eyeing St. Pete for 2027

Rosemary House won't be the only new yoga option arriving in the area around that time. CorePower Yoga plans to open its first St. Petersburg studio in 2027 as well, according to the Tampa Bay Business Journal, with that studio set to occupy a former bank space on Central Avenue. The Saltaire ground floor and the Central Avenue bank building sit on different ends of the local wellness scene taking shape downtown.

Rosemary House would also join a broader roster of Tampa Bay fitness and wellness spots. A Tampa Bay Magazine rundown of local wellness destinations points readers toward The Birdie Club, projectALCHEMY, Tampa Tango Argentino, The Body Electric Yoga Company and Barre Central, underscoring how much the region's class-and-studio options have grown in recent years.
