A months-long narcotics investigation spanning multiple Placer County residences led to four arrests, FOX40 reported. The operation turned up drugs, suppressors and firearm components.
According to the City of Roseville, California Police Department, patrol officers responded to the Herbert Street residence on October 11 to serve an arrest warrant and conduct a probation search. Once inside, they say they located drug paraphernalia, illegal narcotics and evidence of what the department described as a significant indoor marijuana cultivation operation.
That discovery prompted officers to seek a search warrant from a Placer County judge, the police department's Facebook post says. The subsequent search uncovered several pounds of processed marijuana, along with methamphetamine, fentanyl and additional drug paraphernalia scattered throughout the property, according to the same account.
Eighteen Firearms, Including Assault-Style Weapons
Officers say they also found 18 firearms inside the home, a mix of handguns, rifles and assault-style weapons, all of which were seized as evidence. The department's post states the homeowner was prohibited from possessing firearms under California law due to narcotics addiction.
The investigation led to the arrest of two individuals, who were booked into South Placer County Jail and charged with weapons- and narcotics-related offenses, per the police department's account. The department's post does not identify the two individuals or detail the specific statutes behind their charges.
Other Placer County Drug and Weapons Cases
The Herbert Street seizure comes amid a separate, larger operation reported by FOX40, which described four arrests following a months-long narcotics investigation that spanned multiple residences across Placer County. That case, as FOX40 reported it, turned up roughly three ounces of cocaine, 90 alprazolam pills and about eight pounds of marijuana, along with nine suppressors, two short-barreled rifles, one illegal rifle, multiple 3D-printed firearm parts and several hundred rounds of ammunition.
In the FOX40 account, Roseville detectives obtained search warrants for several homes tied to the suspected drug-sales operation, and the suspects booked in that case faced drug- and weapons-related charges. Names and specific charges in that investigation were not immediately released, the station reported.
Pattern of Local Busts Involving Firearms
A probation search near Rampart Drive in late April uncovered suspected narcotics sales activity, drug paraphernalia and two firearms, FOX40 reported, with one of those weapons having been reported stolen by another law enforcement agency.
Illegal marijuana cultivation has also been a statewide focus. In a July 2026 update, the Governor of California's office reported on Unified Cannabis Enforcement Task Force operations conducted from April through June 2026.
No further details on court proceedings or case outcomes for the Herbert Street arrests have been released.
