RuPaul is bringing a DJ set to the pool deck at Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Tampa on Sunday, November 1, as part of the venue's Tempo Daylife party series. The 21-and-older event is rain or shine, with tickets starting at $35 through Ticketmaster.
The appearance was confirmed in a newsroom announcement from Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Tampa, which states that RuPaul will spin while doors open at 11 a.m. and the DJ set itself is scheduled for 3 p.m. That timeline doesn't match what Watermark Out News reported, which pegged RuPaul's performance to an 11 a.m. start on the same date. As of now, there's no way to reconcile the two accounts, so anyone planning to attend should treat the exact performance time as unsettled until the venue clarifies it.
As West Orlando News first reported on the Central Florida booking, the event marks another splashy celebrity booking for the casino's pool scene. Tickets went on sale September 18 at 10 a.m., and the event carries the 21-plus age restriction regardless of which set time ends up being accurate.
What the Pool Deck Looks Like
The party unfolds at Tempo Daylife Tampa Bay, a 60,000-square-foot pool deck tucked inside the casino resort. The space includes three pools, 19 cabanas, 25 daybeds, multiple bars, and the Pool Bar & Grill, according to the venue's own entertainment page. It's the kind of sprawling daytime-party setup that's become a signature for Seminole Hard Rock Tampa, which has previously drawn big-name talent to its poolside stage — Tampa Bay Times reported that 50 Cent performed at the same pool party venue back in March 2024.
Who Is RuPaul
RuPaul Charles is best known as the executive producer and host of RuPaul's Drag Race, and the Tampa booking leans on a résumé that spans decades of entertainment milestones. With 14 Emmy wins, RuPaul holds the record for the most Emmy awards earned by any Black artist in history, per the casino's announcement. RuPaul also won a Tony Award for producing A Strange Loop, which was named the best musical of 2022.
That mix of television, music, and theater credits is part of what's fueling buzz around the November 1 date, even as the conflicting start times leave early arrivals guessing. Whether guests show up at 11 a.m. or wait until 3 p.m., the rain-or-shine billing means the party is going forward regardless of Tampa's early-November weather.
