Sacramento is forecast to be sunny Friday, with another 86-degree afternoon ahead. The warm spell holds through Saturday before a sharper cooldown arrives Sunday and Monday, with rain chances finally returning early next week.
Sunny Friday And Warm Weekend
Friday will stay sunny with a north wind around 5 mph becoming calm Friday morning and no rain, followed by a clear night with a low near 54. Saturday should look much the same, reaching about 87 degrees, while Sunday cools to a still-sunny 80 with an overnight low near 51.
The latest forecast from the National Weather Service Sacramento office describes dry conditions through the end of the week, with precipitation potential early to mid-next week. Early mornings will feel noticeably cooler than the afternoons, so the forecast remains a classic jacket-in-the-morning, short-sleeves-by-lunch setup.
Fire Weather Concern Remains Outside The City
A Red Flag Warning remains in effect through 10 a.m. Friday for the Sierra and adjacent foothills, where gusty winds and very dry air can help fires spread quickly. Sacramento's city forecast calls for much lighter winds, but residents across the region should still use caution with outdoor flames, hot equipment and sparks near dry grass or brush.
Cooler Monday Brings Rain Chances
Monday will be mostly sunny but much cooler, with a high near 71 and precipitation potential returning early to mid-next week. Tuesday brings a slight chance of rain and a high near 67, followed by another slight rain chance Wednesday before sunny, 70-degree weather returns Thursday.
That incoming cooldown and more specific rain window are the notable changes from Hoodline's earlier forecast, which focused on the warm, dry stretch and regional fire-weather concerns. For now, Sacramento gets one more sunny summerlike weekend before fall finally makes a stronger appearance.
