Seven Sundays Coffee, the specialty coffee shop that built a following in Royal Oak, has signed a lease for a third Metro Detroit location, this time at 6925 Orchard Lake Road in West Bloomfield. Owners Chris and Krystal Touma are tentatively eyeing a spring 2027 opening for the spot, following roughly eight months of planning for the new site.
News of the lease comes from WhatNow, which reported that the Toumas, who founded the company, are opening an independent coffee shop in West Bloomfield to join their two existing locations. The West Bloomfield plaza sits on the east side of Orchard Lake Road near W Maple Road, placing the future café in a stretch of the township already anchored by several food and beverage tenants.
From Royal Oak Storefront to a Third Metro Detroit Address
Seven Sundays Coffee first opened its doors on Main Street in Royal Oak in 2023, carving out a niche with a menu built around specialty coffee and breakfast fare. The brand describes itself on its own website as an independent, family-owned business, and its About page frames its shops as gathering places, work spots and catch-up corners rather than just coffee counters.
The company expanded beyond Royal Oak last October, opening a second location in Troy near Somerset Collection mall, according to the same WhatNow report. Between its two currently open shops, Seven Sundays Coffee has built a menu that includes a salted brown butter draft latte, egg and cheese English muffins, egg bites, and a rotating lineup of baked goods and pastries.
What West Bloomfield Will Join on Orchard Lake Road
The West Bloomfield plaza already houses New York Bagel, Stage Deli Restaurant and a Dairy Queen, giving the Seven Sundays team established neighbors before its third shop even opens. WhatNow also reported that Gameday Social Bar is planned for the same plaza sometime in 2026, adding another new concept to the property ahead of the coffee shop's own arrival.
On its website, Seven Sundays Coffee markets itself as a specialty coffee and breakfast business rooted in Troy and Royal Oak, built on small-batch coffee made with beans sourced from around the world. With a West Bloomfield opening now tentatively on the calendar for spring 2027, the brand is positioning its gathering-place pitch in a third Metro Detroit community, even as the finer details of construction, staffing and the eventual menu for the new shop have yet to be laid out.
