
A structure fire on Lakewood Avenue in Silver Lake was out Wednesday, the Los Angeles Fire Department said.
LAFD identified the fire's location as 2617 N. Lakewood Avenue, according to LAFD
LAFD later reported that the fire was out.
Of the five patients involved, four were LAFD members and one was described as a non-LAFD member, per the same alert. Three patients were transported. LAFD said the cause of the fire and the full extent of the injuries had not yet been confirmed.
LAFD's Arson Counter-Terrorism Section
The agency's Arson Counter-Terrorism Section deploys sworn peace officer investigators under California Penal Code Section 830.37 with authority to probe fire scenes for criminal origin and cause, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department. The section regularly works alongside LAPD's Major Crimes Division and federal agencies when an incendiary cause is suspected.

The burned house is at a Los Angeles address in ZIP code 90039. Property records reviewed by Zillow show the 3,106-square-foot home was built in 1926, has three bedrooms and four bathrooms, and last sold in September 2020 for $3,715,000.
The LAFD alert listed FS56 in connection with the response.
A Recent Silver Lake Fire
In September, firefighters contained a late-night fire inside a ground-floor Target store on Dillon Street within 35 minutes, Hoodline reported, keeping it from spreading to nearly 50 apartment units above without any injuries.
