Las Vegas starts Friday under mostly cloudy skies and temperatures in the mid-60s, but rain is in the forecast for Halloween weekend. Showers and thunderstorms are expected to become more likely through the afternoon before a much soggier pattern arrives Saturday night and Sunday.
The National Weather Service in Las Vegas says Friday’s high should reach about 73 degrees, with rain and thunderstorms most likely from late morning through the afternoon. The strongest chances arrive around midafternoon, and storms could bring heavy rain and gusty winds.
Halloween Day Starts Partly Sunny
Saturday should begin partly sunny, with a high near 72 and a 20% chance of rain showers after 1 p.m. Outdoor Halloween plans may need a backup option.
Saturday Night Brings The Wettest Stretch
Rain showers become much more likely Saturday night, with a 90% chance of precipitation and a low around 62. Sunday stays unsettled as well, with showers likely before 4 p.m., a high near 68 and an 80% chance of rain.
The updated outlook is a sharper turn from the earlier forecast, which had already hinted at a potentially wet Halloween weekend, as Hoodline previously reported. Localized downpours could leave water on roads, so drivers should slow down if storms move across the valley.
Dryer Weather Returns Monday
The pattern improves quickly after the weekend. Monday and Tuesday should be sunny and dry, with temperatures roughly five degrees below seasonal normals, although breezier conditions are possible Monday as cooler air settles into the region.
For the latest local forecast, the National Weather Service advises checking conditions before heading out, especially during the stormier periods Friday afternoon through Sunday.
