A 43,000-square-foot indoor adventure park is headed to South Huntsville, with LuLuLand Adventure Park set to take over the former A-1 Appliances store at The Shoppes at Meadowbrook. The project is slated to open in summer 2027, bringing zip lines, rock climbing walls, dodgeball courts and more to a stretch of South Memorial Parkway already packed with big-box retail traffic.

LuLuLand is planned for The Shoppes at Meadowbrook, a center located at 11208 South Memorial Parkway along a corridor that sees daily traffic of up to 125,000 vehicles, according to leasing documents from Crunkleton Commercial Real Estate. The center sits near existing anchors including Walmart, Sam's Club and Lowe's, placing LuLuLand within an already-established South Parkway shopping ecosystem.

Anusha Davis, an investor in the Meadowbrook property, told AL.com that the project is designed to serve the surrounding community and attract strong regional and national users. She said the center was well-positioned in one of the city's sought-after retail corridors. Davis has said the redevelopment will be shaped around what South Huntsville families want.

What's Inside the New Park

Per the same AL.com report, LuLuLand will feature a large trampoline arena, a ball pit plunge, a ropes course, an arcade, a wave slide, a wipeout challenge and an air coaster. The park will also include a basketball dunk zone, football challenges and an indoor soccer court. Additional planned attractions reported by Hville Blast include tube slides and rainbow slides alongside standard obstacle courses.

Davis described LuLuLand as an exciting step toward her vision for the center.

A Growing National Chain Eyes Huntsville

LuLuLand already operates locations in Memphis, Jacksonville, Florida; and Hampton, Virginia, and has targeted nine cities for expansion, including Huntsville. The company's broader 2026-2027 expansion list also includes Norfolk and Chesapeake, Virginia; Cedar Rapids, Iowa; Whitehall Township and York, Pennsylvania; Waldorf, Maryland; and St. Paul, Minnesota, according to the Hville Blast report. In St. Paul, LuLuLand will replace the former Herberger's department store, according to CBS News.

Another Indoor Attraction at Meadowbrook

Up A Creek has already been added to the redevelopment. The business operates at 5575 Highway 431 South, according to Rocket City Mom.

Davis is Crunkleton Commercial Real Estate's Vice President of Retail.

Room for More Tenants Along the Corridor

Leasing documents show The Shoppes at Meadowbrook has flexible commercial spaces available, ranging from 1,175-square-foot storefronts up to rare large-format spaces of 38,590 square feet along Memorial Parkway, leaving room for additional retail and dining tenants to join LuLuLand and Up A Creek.
