A modernist estate on one of Southampton's most coveted stretches of oceanfront real estate has hit the market for the very first time, asking $42.5 million. The 3.6-acre property at 1800 Meadow Lane comes with seven bedrooms, eight full bathrooms, two half bathrooms, and roughly 11,537 square feet of living space built around panoramic water views.
According to the property listing on Trulia, the home sits in Southampton Village and offers 360-degree water views stretching across the Atlantic shoreline and Shinnecock Bay. The listing states the estate sits outside the FEMA-designated flood zone, and shows the single-family home was built in 1993, with the listing posted by Out East on October 23 under MLS number 398458. As Behind The Hedges reports, Jackie Lowey and Mark Greenwald of Saunders & Associates represent the property.
Lowey described the estate as a once-in-a-generation modernist legacy property in move-in condition, per Behind The Hedges' report, while Greenwald pointed to the panoramic views of the ocean shoreline and Shinnecock Bay as a defining feature. Steve Glick, senior vice president of advertising and marketing at Saunders & Associates, said the pair are well-positioned to bring the estate to market, according to the same report.
Inside the Primary Suite and Outdoor Spaces
The primary suite is wrapped in ocean views from three sides and opens directly onto a private deck, according to the Trulia listing, which describes a spa-like bathroom with a freestanding soaking tub. Behind The Hedges' report adds that the suite also includes a study with bay views and an adjacent office space.
Outside, the estate includes multiple living and entertaining spaces that open onto outdoor terraces, along with multi-level terraces finished with glass-lined railings, Behind The Hedges reports. There's also an infinity-edge freeform pool with an integrated spa, a pool house with its own full bathroom, and a lower covered patio. The Trulia listing separately describes an oceanside infinity-edge pool and spa alongside a pool house and an approved variance for a tennis court, giving future owners room to expand the property's recreational offerings.
A private pathway winds through the dune landscape straight to the sand, the listing notes, giving the home direct beach access without leaving the property line.
A Hot Stretch of Sand
Meadow Lane has produced some of the priciest sales anywhere in the Hamptons over the past year and a half. According to Newsday, 1010 Meadow Lane sold for $55.75 million in August 2025, while 1320 Meadow Lane sold for $40 million that March \u2014 a property that 27East reported had carried a last asking price of $49.5 million. Those deals were part of a broader run: Newsday reports that six Hamptons homes traded for more than $50 million in 2025, the most such deals since 2021, and that the median Hamptons sales price hit $2 million in the third quarter of that year, up 30 percent from a year earlier.
Meadow Lane has also drawn interest from the public sector. Southampton Town has proposed buying the oceanfront mansion at 1950 Meadow Lane for $25.8 million and demolishing it to create public beach access, according to Newsday's report on the plan, which describes an 11-bedroom home and in-ground pool on 2.2 acres with 172 linear feet of ocean frontage.
The broader market has shown some signs of cooling even as prices keep climbing. A report from the James Lane Post found that a quieter second quarter in 2026 did little to slow demand across the Hamptons and North Fork, where limited inventory and affluent buyers kept pushing prices higher. For now, 1800 Meadow Lane joins a market where eight-figure sales have become almost routine, even if, as of a mid-2026 report from The Real Deal, no nine-figure deal had yet matched 2025's record-setting pace.
