The Spartanburg Police Department is asking the public for help finding a wanted man, Jaquon Miller, who has active arrest warrants for first-degree domestic violence and third-degree assault and battery. Police said Miller was last known to be at Crescent Hill Apartments, located at 108 Pineneedle Drive in Spartanburg. Officers are telling residents not to approach him if they see him.
According to WYFF, the department is specifically seeking tips on Miller's whereabouts as it works to serve the outstanding warrants. The station reported that police asked the public not to attempt to approach or apprehend Miller themselves, directing anyone with information to contact authorities instead.
Where Miller Was Last Seen
Police pinpointed Miller's last known location as the Crescent Hill Apartments complex on Pineneedle Drive, a residential address in Spartanburg.
Anyone with information on Miller's location is asked to call 911, according to WYFF. A separate report from WSPA also listed 864-596-2222 as a contact number for tips on his whereabouts.
Not the First Search of Its Kind in the County
This is not the only recent case in which Spartanburg-area law enforcement has turned to the public for help locating a wanted man. Back in April, the Spartanburg County Sheriff's Office searched for Tyquan Rashad McKinney, who was wanted on 12 separate arrest warrants, as reported by Fox Carolina. In that case, deputies said there was no threat to the community but still urged anyone who spotted McKinney not to approach him and to call 911 immediately.
Police have not said whether Miller has been located or arrested since the appeal for information was issued. For now, Spartanburg officers are relying on the public's eyes and ears, repeating the same caution given in similar cases: don't step in, just call it in.
