Denver is starting Halloween with fog and mist Saturday morning, but the spooky part of the forecast should fade before the afternoon. Temperatures are expected to climb from the mid-40s into the low 60s, with partly sunny skies by midday and little chance of rain in the city.
A Dense Fog Advisory remains in effect until 10 a.m. Saturday for Denver, the western suburbs and other parts of the northern Front Range, according to the National Weather Service. Visibility could fall to between one-quarter and one-half mile in the thickest fog, so drivers should slow down, turn on their headlights and leave extra space ahead.
Fog Gives Way To A Mild Halloween Afternoon
Fog is expected to linger before 10 a.m., followed by partly sunny skies and a high near 61 degrees, making for a fairly easy afternoon for errands, outdoor plans and last-minute Halloween preparations.
Comfortable Trick-Or-Treating, Chilly After Dark
Clouds are expected to increase Saturday night. The overnight low will settle near 44, so costumes with a jacket-friendly layer will make more sense than relying on superhero capes alone.
Clouds Build Sunday Before Rain Arrives
Sunday will stay mild but mostly cloudy, with a high around 62. The day should be mostly dry in Denver, though showers become more likely late Sunday night as unsettled weather moves in.
Rain showers are forecast Monday, with a high near 59 degrees. Mountain areas could see snow, while Monday night will turn cooler, with a low around 40.
Sunny Tuesday Brings A Brief Reset
Tuesday is forecast to be sunny with a high near 59, offering a calmer break after Monday’s showers. Wednesday is forecast to reach near 70 degrees.
