Seattle is waking up cool Wednesday morning, with temperatures around 45 degrees before the city warms to a sunny high near 65. Rain is staying away for now, giving the region one more easy outdoor day before the forecast turns more autumnal.
Patchy Fog Should Clear By Midmorning
A little shallow fog or low cloud cover could form near Puget Sound early Wednesday, but it should burn off by midmorning. Winds will be light and variable in the morning, becoming northwesterly around 5 knots in the afternoon, while the afternoon brings mostly blue skies and a high of 65, according to the National Weather Service.
Cooler Temperatures Move In Thursday
Thursday will be mostly sunny in the morning, becoming mostly cloudy, with a high near 58 and a low around 46 Thursday night. Friday stays mostly sunny but cooler still, topping out near 56 degrees with overnight temperatures dipping to about 43.
The timing is a modest shift from Hoodline's earlier outlook, with the wet-weather window now focused more squarely on the weekend. That earlier forecast is available in Hoodline's previous Seattle update.
Rain Chances Return Saturday
Saturday brings a 20% chance of rain after 11 a.m., with mostly cloudy skies and a high near 55. Sunday could see another round of light rain, with a chance of rain continuing into the day, and the afternoon may turn partly sunny with a high around 58.
For Seattle residents, the practical forecast is simple: enjoy the warmest and driest stretch Wednesday, keep a jacket handy for cooler mornings Thursday and Friday, and plan for at least some chance of rain during weekend outings. No land-based weather advisories are posted for the city.
