Greenville is waking up Wednesday to clear skies and a cool start near 50 degrees, but the afternoon will turn comfortably warm under full sunshine. The bigger story is the unusually stubborn dry stretch ahead, with no rain expected through the weekend and well into next week.
Sunny Days Give Way To A Cooler Weekend
Wednesday’s high should reach 72 degrees, followed by a clear night with a low near 47. Thursday will be slightly warmer at 74 degrees before Friday cools to around 69, according to the National Weather Service.
Saturday will be the coolest day of the stretch, with sunshine, a high near 64 and northeast winds between 12 and 16 mph. Sunday remains sunny but a little milder at about 67 degrees, while overnight lows settle in the mid-40s.
Dry Air Brings A Fire Safety Reminder
The National Weather Service expects dry weather to continue for the next seven days, with afternoon humidity dropping into the mid-20s at times. An increased fire danger statement was in effect for parts of northeast Georgia from noon through 7 p.m. Wednesday, October 21, 2026; Greenville County is not listed in that statement, but local residents should still check burn rules before lighting any outdoor fire.
Light winds will dominate Wednesday and Thursday, with a dry cold-air-damming pattern Friday into Saturday. After the weekend chill, temperatures rebound to about 72 Monday and 74 Tuesday, keeping the Upstate sunny, dry and short on excuses for leaving the sunglasses at home.
